Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress singer and dancer. Early Broadway parts include Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. For her role as Essie in You Can't Take It With You she received the Tony Award. Annaleigh Ashford, Tony Award winner actor has worked with a variety of acclaimed actors and directors for stage productions and on television. Ashford continues to build on her award-winning career with her upcoming projects. Ashford is scheduled to be starring alongside Kumail Nanjiani, in Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It debuts on the 22nd November. Ashford's upcoming project will be Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust which he is starring in with Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. In the form of it is a Hulu Original, the film is available on Disney DTC's platforms. It will be released in 2023, March. Ashford will make a return appearance on Broadway and play alongside Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will serve as the creators of the show. Ashford portrayed Paula Jones, the main character in Ryan Murphy's new FX program American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the scandal that brought Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as well as other main actors into the very first impeachment proceedings in America for over a century. Ashford was a part of two seasons of the popular CBS comedy B Positive. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Additional Broadway performances for Ashford are Sunday in the Park, in which she starred with George Wicked legally Blonde, and the role of Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots.
