Pickler born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986, had an unhappy childhood. The mother she had left when she was only two to escape from an abusive relationship. Her mother returned in 1995 to her life and took full control of her. It didn't take place as expected. Pickler was then 12 years old and was remanded to her parents through the court. They took care of her until she reached adulthood. Pickler did not have the capacity to raise her children in their absence. She admitted she didn't have time to read and began learning how to be a homemaker in her early years. Pickler had been the cheerleader at middle and high school. North Stanly High School was the school where she graduated in 2004. Pickler has also attempted her hand at being a beauty queen. She was once named Miss Stanly County.
